Summer Gates: Nightmares On Wax - Live in Sofia 2026

🎵 SUMMER GATES is not just a summer program – it's a series of evenings, each unfolding a different world. Four dates with diverse directions, united by one idea – to connect us with music chosen with purpose, in a space that makes it its own. The selection is by Reel Feel, and the venue is CHISTILISHTETO (The Purifier).

🎧 On August 30, special guest NIGHTMARES ON WAX. With a career spanning over three decades, George Evelyn, better known as NIGHTMARES ON WAX, continuously redefines the boundaries of his sound. From the sample-rich 'Smokers Delight' to the introspective and transformative journey of 'Shout Out! To Freedom', his work is not just music – it's emotional resonance, culture, and evolution.

💿 With 'Echo45 Sound System', released in 2025, N.O.W takes the next step in this direction. The mixtape is a living, breathing soundsystem culture that blends soul, roots, hip-hop, dub, and electronic elements. The album features carefully curated collaborations — Yasiin Bey, Greentea Peng, Sadie Walker, Liam Bailey, Yarah Bravo and others, paying homage to the history of the soundsystem movement. Despite all the collective energy, 'Echo45' is above all a production with a clearly expressed NIGHTMARES ON WAX signature. The album is a manifesto for unity, freedom, and moving forward.

🎤 Nightmares On Wax's captivating live sets blur the line between DJing and storytelling. His performances are known for their warm, analog energy — drawing audiences into a shared groove that sounds simultaneously nostalgic and surprisingly current. In an era of fast and disposable music, his sound remains timeless — rooted in authenticity, connection, and pure vibe.
